How lucky to be called a creative director? That moment when an idea starts to manifest. Finding a brand’s relevancy. Discovering new talent. Inspirational new partners. Able to connect to fashionistas, sporty teens, Kmart shoppers, early adapters, influencers or retirees. I’ve worked at adidas, TBWA Chiat Day, Vogue Australia, InStyle, Bloomberg, Ogilvy, and Lloyd & Co to name a few. I try and surround myself with people who understand what I’m trying to do, but honest enough to tell me when I’m wrong. Some highlights so far: Repelling down a mountain with Outward Bound. Hanging with the crew below deck on the QE2. Perusing through Karl Lagerfeld’s immense library during our collaboration.
